We do recruitment and selection of qualified, experienced, well-trained and fully certified crew as per STCW 2010, having global working experiences in order to support safe ship operation, to ensure the health and safety of crew and to put a highest concern to the protection and prevention of the marine environment. We committed to support the right and welfare of crew as per MLC 2006.

Our strong commitment for continuous improvement on our Quality Management System of ISO 9001:2008 is aim to meet client expectations by regularly monitoring client satisfactory levels. We evaluate the crew’s performance based on Principal’s Appraisal Report which is used as references for promotion, upgrading and training requirements to ensure continuous monitoring of crew performance.

Recruitment and Selection
Maindo maintains a stringent recruitment procedure with multi-layered interviews and online tests, such as online CES Competency Test and Marlins English Test. Supported by experienced and professional recruitment team, we are confident to provide the highest standard of crew to ensure safe operation of Principal’s vessels, safety of personnel and prevention of marine pollution. Principal can do direct interview in our Jakarta office or through Skype/phone with our crew prior to employment approval.
Pre-departure Arrangement
Travel and Visa Arrangement, including US C1D visa, Schengen visa, visa for Asia and Gulf countries, etc

Crew Management
We have provided Crewing services to various Ship Owners and Managers globally for more than 20 years. Crew Management is our core business and we great pride in taking our performance levels in providing Crewing Services to ever higher levels of competence.
Our crew management services are flexible & competitive and cover the complete spectrum of human resource management for the Ship Owner, including:
Crew Appraisal and Upgrading; We evaluate the crew’s performance based on Principal’s Appraisal Report which is used as references for promotion, upgrading and training requirements to ensure continuous monitoring of crew performance
Crew Planning; We identify requirement for crew change by monitoring the crew contract of the on board crew and monitor the status of ex-crewmembers and their certificate requirements during their leave for the purpose of crew change/rotation (sign on/off arrangement)
Retention Rate; We maintain 80% retention rate for the past five years. This has been achieved through having proper recruitment, remuneration, continual training and performance appraisal systems in place
Medical Insurance and Claim; P & I Insurance, crew accident insurance, sickness pay, medical expenses
Crew Supervision; Regular visits on board, performance evaluation, efficiency supervision
Payroll Service; We are able to arrange the payment or distribution of crew salaries, including overlapping wages during crew changes, leave pay, seniority and performance bonus, bank charges for crew payment
Pre-employment
Medical Examination, as according to ship’s flag and ILO requirements, including Drug and Alcohol tests, conducted at the approved and accredited Medical Practitioner
Training and Briefing, every seafarer joining a vessel shall undergo the training relevant to his rank and attend pre-joining orientation briefing for explanation on contract terms, vessel particular and familiarization on company’s policies, SMS, rules and regulations

Training is one of the key pillars in ensuring that our service exceeds the customer expectations and the ship under our management performs to the highest standards. Maindo provides relevant trainings in order to produce highly competent crews and to enhance shipboard performance, including:
Maritime English Training using Marlins English curriculums
Computer Based Training (CBT) using software for Seagull, Seamanship Training, etc

Crew Database
With a pool of over 7,500 crew records in our database, we provide experienced and highly qualified crew members to our Principals. The centralized database system is updated on a continuous basis with certification, medical, visa and other information including training records and crew appraisal results. All data and documents are filed electronically for compliance check.
