Duties
Research in Vehicle Occupant Crash Protection.

Intent of the process
This process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates which could be used to staff similar or identical Bilingual Imperative (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC or CCC/CCC) positions with various tenures (such as Indeterminate, Specified Period, Acting, Deployment, Assignment and Secondment) and with various Security requirements.

Please note that the position we need to staff at the present time is located in BLAINVILLE, Québec (25 Km North of Montréal).

Education:
ED: Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Computer engineering, or Engineering Physics

Degree equivalency

Experience:
EX1 : Relevant experience in a research environment.
EX2: Experience in data reduction and processing using Excel or other PC-based application software such as Visual Basic, MATLAB and/or LabVIEW.
EX3: Experience in the preparation of research findings for peer-reviewed publications and/ or experience in the preparation of research proposals or research funding applications.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)
Education:
AED : Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in Mechanical Engineering.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
AEX1 : Experience or university education in injury biomechanics.

Occupational Certification:
OC: Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Quebec with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.

Knowledge:
K1: Knowledge of the principles and techniques of experimental research
K2: Knowledge of the key elements to be included in the communication of a research proposal
K3: Knowledge of the steps required for the development, communication and supervision of a test protocol or procedure

Abilities:
AB1 : Ability to design, plan and execute research studies
AB2: Ability to analyze research results
AB3: Ability to communicate research findings or technical positions effectively in writing
AB4: Ability to communicate research findings or technical positions effectively orally
AB5: Ability to conduct literature reviews
AB6: Strong analytical skills
