Job Purpose:
Support the Senior Executive Team in managing corporate communications, media relations and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
The Communications & Marketing Executive will be responsible, but not limited to, the following:
• Developing and implementing a GMS communication strategy for the next 2 years.
• Manage all GMS press releases, co-ordinating with related external partners to ensure a strategic and aligned media engagement process.
• Manage the Company’s web site content as a medium to improve and grow the company image.
• Manage the Company’s Jack Flash publication.
• Create marketing and promotional materials, both print and electronic.
• Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications.
• Recommend, implement and maintain site design and operation.
• Work with line manager and business units to determine event budget and manage expenses to that budget.
• Promote products and services through public relations initiatives.
• Identify, develop and execute communications strategy for key media contacts and customer references.
• Coordinate conference, exhibitions, trade shows, and press interviews.
• Effectively coordinate the development, design, approval, production, and distribution of marketing materials in partnership with the external creative design team.
• Good interpersonal skills, with an ability to collaborate and make connections across many internal departments.
• Manage and update GMS marketing and promotional material as required (i.e. brochures, posters, newsletter, technical specifications web pages etc.) and ensure alignment with GMS brand and communication guidelines

Required Competencies:
• Well-developed written and oral communication skills. Arabic an advantage but not essential.
• Ability to partner effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong planning, co-ordination and events management.
• Demonstrated success in developing, managing and delivering communication strategies
• Strong network and connections with the press
community.
Will be expected to organize exhibitions, events etc. for all companywide events.
Responsible for the day to day written and visual creative process for press releases, disclosures, public statements, quarterly and annual reports, and advertisements.
• Editorial experience
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

Qualification:
• Bachelors degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communication or related field
• 3-5 years’ experience in the similar field
