Barge Administrator
Job Description
The candidate should have at least 5years of experience in similar field.
Qualifications and Experience
DTI Class 1 Certificate
Recognised Marine Certificate
Stability 1, 2, 3
Manual Handling
COSHH Assessor
Role
Reporting directly to the OIM(Offshore installation Manager) you will be responsible for:
Ensuring that the marine systems are operated in a safe and efficient manner.
Monitoring weather conditions and wind directions and selects the appropriate lifeboats for use in an evacuation, informing CCR. Ensure the correct and accurate completion of Marine Department Data and reports, including: marine barge logs, vessel movements, weather reports and pontoon tank contents.
Liaising with team marine regarding sqv routing and v/l visit.
Ensuring effective communication links with the Deck Foreman regarding vessel activities and transfers.
Efficient log-keeping system for marine controls.
Supervising the loading of fuel/water in accordance with relevant procedures.
Operating the installation in accordance with the instructions /guidelines provided in the stability operations manual.
Maintaining vessels tank inspection plan with regards to Ballast and Fuel tanks etc in line with Lloyds requirements.
Responsible for Permit to Work, Gas Testing, Risk Assessment and COSHH – CBT.
Ensure appropriate operation and maintenance of the mooring system.
Providing appropriate actions to the OIM(Offshore Installation Manager) on Emergency Response Actions on marine matters.
Liaising with SBV regarding exercise drills involving SBV.
Preparing and maintaining a planned ballast/deballast sequence in accordance with the stability operations manual.
