Harbour Pilot

Responsibilities

Candidates are expected to provide pilotage service to vessels calling at Singapore. Vessels piloted include mega container ships, tankers and passenger liners.

Successful candidates will start as trainee Harbour Pilots with an initial training period of seven to 10 months to obtain the entry-level Class C Licence. On obtaining the Class C Licence, there will be progressive and structured on-the-job training over approximately four years to obtain a Class A Licence.

On the award of the Class C Harbour Pilot Licence, you will be bonded for five years.

Requirements

Candidates should:-

Have at least a Certificate of Competency (Deck) Class 3; Ex-RSN Officers with at least four years' fleet experience are also invited to apply
Have good communication and interpersonal skills
Be willing to work shifts


Marine Assistant

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of the deck, engine room and wheelhouse of the craft
Perform lookout duties on the craft
Handle craft’s mooring ropes during berthing and unberthing
Assist passengers in their safe embarkation and disembarkation
Any other duties as assigned
Requirements

Possess at least GCE N/O Levels, Nitec/Higher Nitec qualifications
Willing to perform shift work
Successful candidates will be deployed to either West Coast/Brani
