Aeroe Ferries A/S was established May 2002 and was then fully owned by the local municipal ?r? Kommune. On the 1 st of April 2011 changed from being owned be shareholders into reporting directly to the municipal.

The primary purpose of the company is to conduct the transportation of goods, vehichles and passengers between ?r? and Fyn/Als, here the company is responsible for the 3 routes in place.

S?by-Fynshav-F?borg with the ferry M/F Skjoldn?s or ?r?sk?bing-Svendborg with the ferries M/F Marstal and M/F ?r?sk?bing.
