Aflos & Crew Management

The story of ACM starts in 2006, when we became active as Crewing Agency (Bemiddelings – en Detacheringsbureau) specialised in secondment of highly experienced, self-employed captains for the inland shipping vessels in Europe with a focus on tanker vessels. With our philosophy “quality, speed and transparency” we became an important link between a growing group of self-employed captains and various clients.

In 2012 company extended its activity with Polish deck personnel both on long term but also on short term basis for all sort of inland shipping vessels. From the beginning our crew was directly employed on 100% Dutch employment contracts and conditions and in accordance with the bilateral tax treaty between the Netherlands and Poland.

In 2019 we have opened in office in Cyprus, under the name ACM Cyprus ltd, to accommodate further growth in Europe. From our Cyprus office we offer our services for clients in Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg and Switzerland.

ACM has grown into an important player in crewing for the inland shipping sector in Europe with offices in Cyprus and in the Netherlands. Today we cooperate/employ almost 300 captains, stuurmans and matroses for all types of vessels.

Comprehensive Crewing Services

ACM offers complete crewing services for all the different activities carried out by crew members on board inland navigation ships, as well as related shore-based services. We offer a comprehensive service in which the worries about personnel are completely taken care of. This means 24 hour continuity in the planning by optimal use of our network. You can entirely outsource your personnel recruitment!

Every day we send out employees to our clients with whom we have often built up long business relationships. Think of aflossers for short term employment, crew in a fixed long term planning etc. Recruitment and selection takes place at our offices in the Netherlands and Cyprus. In consultation with you as our client, we map out the personell needs and select the most suitable candidates.

At ACM we work according to the Dutch rules in compliance with the ‘Wet Aanpak Schijnconstructies’ (the WAS) that has been in force since 1 July 2015. This Act prevents a number of very common but undesirable constructions such as evasion of the Dutch minimum wage, fictitious employment relationships, sham constructions and various migration constructions.
