Boomsma Shipping is active in the management and development of modern multi-purpose ocean-going vessels. Our core business is the short-sea shipping market. Boomsma Shipping was founded in the city of Sneek in 1967. Based on a long family history in inland shipping, we can make our experience in sea-river sailing count.

We can deliver all types of packaged and dry freight products in a safe and efficient way due to our specific knowledge of the short-sea shipping market combined with a highly motivated team onboard our vessels. Furthermore we are specialized in the transport of project cargo.

Cost containment has our highest priority. We achieve this through our ability to manage ourselves all aspects such as operational management, commercial management and crewing. We aim at ensuring our vessels are manned by well-trained, motivated, Dutch officers. We truly believe that this contributes to establish a long-term relationship with customers, charterers, crew and partners.
