My name is Tim Davey, President of ISS GMT. Thank you for taking time to read this brief introduction to our company.

I founded Global Marine Travel in 2001 with the commitment to provide quality travel services to the marine industry in a fun, professional environment with an emphasis on developing strong relationships with both our clients and travel providers.

Having a cruise line background myself, I saw the need for a dedicated travel provider of specialized negotiated one way refundable, changeable airfares for maritime professionals. We now maintain marine/seaman and Air/Sea agreements with all major airlines.

Our customers come from all sectors of the marine industry such as cruise, private yacht, commercial, contractors, vessel managers, surveyors, and offshore oil rig workers travelling from their homes to their vessels and back again. The success of this business model has allowed us to expand globally. To meet the ever-changing needs of our clients, we offer a full portfolio of services such as hotel, visa services, car rentals, crew transfers, rail, helicopters, charters, and all low-cost air carriers. Our agents are on duty 24 hours per day 7 days per week year round.

Our business reached a major milestone in 2010 when Global Marine Travel, GMT merged with Inchcape Shipping Services, the World’s leading maritime services provider. Inchcape Shipping Services has a diversified customer base which includes clients across the oil, cruise, container and bulk commodity sectors as well as serving naval, government and inter-government clients. Together we re-branded to become ISS GMT.

Our partnership combines the strong values of both companies and gives us the ability to provide unmatched value added services to the maritime community. Our commercial clients now have added advantages such as access to a unique home to cabin transportation service.

With the constantly evolving travel environment, increased fuel costs and conditions beyond our control, everyday travel decisions are getting harder and harder to make. I make it my responsibility and duty to work with our suppliers, monitor the world economic and political climate, and fight for issues that affect common sense travel in order to protect ISS GMT’s clients and employees.
