U-Ming Marine Transport Corporation formerly named as Yue Ming Transportation Co., was established in 1984 to provide marine transportation of cement, dry commodities and industrial raw materials, specializing in the trading of vessels and agency services.

Cement Carriers

As of today, U-Ming Marine owns a total of 4 cement carriers. They are equipped with the most advanced facilities, providing comprehensive network coverage and logistical support to Asia Cement Corporation.

Post-Panamax, Panamax, Kamsarmax & Supramax Bulk Carriers
Since 1984, in order to diversify and expand our operations into the global market, U-Ming Marine acquired Post-Panamax, Kamsarmax and Panamax vessels. Currently, the company owns 11 Panamax bulk carriers, as well as 6 Supramax bulk carriers. These vessels are gainfully deployed in the dry bulk market carrying various types of dry commodities such as iron ore, coal and grain shipments worldwide.

Capesize Bulk Carriers & Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC)
In anticipation of worldwide requirements for shipping raw materials, U-Ming Marine has also acquired a series of Capesize bulk fleets since its incorporation. Currently, the company owns 14 Capesize bulk carriers. In our joint venture with other companies, we have also acquired 2 Capesize bulk carriers.

To enhance our competitiveness and diversification, U-Ming had purchased one Very Large Crude Carrier(VLCC) and ventured into the oil-carried market. Now U-Ming owns and operates a total of 47 vessels with total 6.59 million DWT, including 4 vessels are currently under construction. This is in line with the company’s policy in maintaining young and efficient fleets.

Corporate Development
U-Ming Marine is listed on the Taiwan’s Stock Exchange, one of the nine listed companies within the Far Eastern Group. The Company’s philosophy is firmly established from the foundation of Far Eastern Group’s motto, “Sincerity, Diligence, Thrift, Prudence and Innovation”. 

We established our headquarters in Taiwan, forming 3 fully owned subsidiaries in Singapore, Hong Kong and Xiamen to extend our service to worldwide customers.

As well as expanding our investment activities through strategic alliance, we established joint ventures with our partners. While dry bulk shipping will remain as our core competency, our vision is to turn U-Ming Marine into a world-class transportation and logistics company, hence becoming the first choice for customers, employees and investors.
