168 Kilos of Cocaine Found on Boxship in Mexico

zoom Mexican law enforcement agencies have seized 168.58 kilos of cocaine found in one of the containers on board the Hong Kong-flagged MOL Grandeur while the vessel was docked in the Port of Manzanillo on October 4, according to the countrys Office of the Attorney-General (PGR).  The joint operation was carried out by PGRs Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC), the Secretariat of the Navy of Mexico (Semar), and the Maritime Customs of Manzanillo. The investigators found 156 packets of cocaine packed in four black sports bags. The container in which the bags were found was loaded onto the 5,605 TEU MOL Grandeur in the Port of Callao, Peru, and was reportedly destined for Japan.
