7th Newbuilding Joins Navig8 Product Tankers

zoomIllustration; Image Courtesy: Navig8 Product Tankers The seventh newbuilding product tanker has been delivered to the shipping firm Navig8 Product Tankers from Chinese shipbuilder Guangzhou Shipyard International Company Limited. Featuring 113,000 dwt, the LR2 tanker Navig8 Gladiator was ordered as part of a batch of eight ships from the former CSSC Offshore & Marine Engineering (Group) Company Limited, now GSI. With 128,000 cbm, the new ship is also the seventh one to be delivered under the sale and leaseback agreements entered into with CSSC (Hong Kong) Shipping Company Limited (CSSC) on June 25, 2015. Following delivery from GSI, the Navig8 Gladiator was delivered to CSSC under the terms of the agreement and then delivered back to the company under bareboat charter. The 249-meter long and 44-meter wide tanker will be entered into and operated in Navig8 Groups Alpha8 commercial pool. Navig8 Product Tankers eight newbuilding, the Navig8 Gratitude, is scheduled for delivery in March 2017, the companys data shows.
