APL Enhances Asia-Middle East, Latin America Links

APL Singapore-based container shipping company APL has decided to expand its Asia-Middle East and Latin America networks by adding new services to these routes. To its Asia-Middle East coverage, the company has added the Red Sea Express 2 (RE2) Service, which will link China to the Red Sea ports of Jeddah, Sokhna and Aqaba. The new RE2 Service will call the ports of Shanghai, Ningbo (China), Kaohsiung (Taiwan), Shekou (China), Port Klang (Malaysia), Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Sokhna (Egypt), Aqaba (Jordan), Djibouti (Djibouti) and Singapore (Singapore). The service will start its first sailing from Shanghai on November 14, 2016. Additionally, the company has set up the Colombia Bridge Express (CBX) Service, a weekly feeder service connecting Colombia and Kingston in Jamaica. Via APL global linehaul services at the key transshipment hubs of Cartagena and Kingston, the new CBX service will enable reliable cargo movements between Asia, the Caribbean and the United States East Coast, APL said. The new CBX service, which calls the ports of Kingston (Jamaica), Cartagena, Barranquilla and Santa Marta (Colombia), will commence its first sailing from Cartagena on November 11, 2016.
