Arcadia Shipmanagement Disposes of Aframax Oldie

Arcadia Shipmanagement Greek shipping company Arcadia Shipmanagement has sold Aegean Pride, its oldest Aframax tanker, to an unnamed buyer from China, VesselsValues data shows.  The 105,300 dwt Aegean Pride was sold for USD 10.5 million, while the market value of the ship currently stands at USD 8.01 million. Aegean Pride was built by South Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries (SHI) in 1999. The 16,896 gross ton tanker features a length of 243.8 meters and a width of 42 meters. Arcadia Shipmanagements fleet is currently comprised of 16 vessels. In 2016, the company took delivery of three Suezmax newbuildings, Aegean Marathon, Aegean Dream and Aegean Unity, each of them built by Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI), according to VesselsValues data. The fourth tanker, Aegean Fighter, is slated for delivery in 2016. Additionally, two more Suezmaxes, Aegean Miracle and Aegean Vision, will join the companys fleet in 2017, VesselsValues data suggests. Earlier this year, the companys first of six oil tanker newbuildings was submitted for Green Award certification following its delivery in May. Arcadia Shipmanagement revealed its plans to have all of the six newbuildings certified by Green Award. Green Award assesses the quality, safety and environmental protection standards of a ship manager and its ships.
