Avance Gas Finds Work for Its Newbuild

zoom Operator and owner of Very Large Gas Carriers (VLGC) Avance Gas Holding has chartered out its newbuild VLGC Monsoon for a 60-90 days time charter. The Monsoon was delivered on 13 January 2015, together with its sister ship VLGCs Mistral. The Monsoons charter is set to commence in early February, at a rate reflecting the freight market at the time of negotiations, Avance Gas said. The name of the charterer was not disclosed. Final talks on a similar charter for Mistral are underway, the company added. Avance Gas has a newbuilding program of six VLGCs. As informed, two more newbuilds are pending delivery. Hull 1073 is expected to be delivered late Q1/2015 and hull 1074 is expected to be delivered mid Q2/2015.
