AVIC Weihai Secures Order for Three Bulk Carriers from Italy

AVIC Weihai Shipyard Co., Ltd. has signed final contracts for the construction of three bulk carriers with Italian owners Visentini and Globeco.
The owners decided to exercise their options for three handysize bulkers under the order that had been placed in early July.
Visentini and Globeco had ordered two plus two 37,650 dwt bulkers and one plus one 37,650 dwt bulkers at AVIC Weihai, reports SinoShip.
Italian classification society RINA will provide technical information.
These 37,650 DWT Handymax bulkers will have a length of 181.00m, width of 30.00 m, with the designed draft of 10.10 m.
Delivery of the newbuildings is scheduled for 2015.
