Bahri Adds Port of Gdansk to Its Network of European Ports Port of Gdansk The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) has added the Polish port of Gdansk into its network of regular shipping links after one of Polands manufacturers of railway cars and a Saudi railway operator entered into a tank delivery deal. Under the tank delivery agreement, the tanks would be delivered from the south of Poland to the port by rail and then rolled directly onto roll trailers, on which they are loaded onto a ship. The transshipment operations are carried out by the Port of Gdansk Cargo Logistics SA, while ship agency services would be provided by Wilhelmsen Ships. Bahris Ro-Ro vessels are now scheduled to visit the port regularly, adding it to the companys network of European ports, including Hamburg, Antwerp, Bremerhaven, Rotterdam, and Bilbao. The shipping firm expects to provide regular calls at the port at least once a month on the Dammam Jebel Ali Djibouti Jeddah Bilbao Hamburg Gdansk Antwerp Tilbury route. The new ocean line also provides a real chance of increasing the participation of the Ro-Ro type of transshipment in the ports cargo structure, the port said.
