Bangladesh-Flagged Ship Detained in Singapore Shipspotting General cargo vessel Banga Barta has been arrested in Singapore waters, according to data provided by Supreme Court of Singapore. The 7,900 dwt ship, owned by Bangladesh-based HRC Shipping, was detained for undisclosed reasons in the evening hours of March 9. Focal Investigation & Security Agency has been appointed for security and investigation purposes related to the detention of the Bangladesh-flagged vessel. The 5,505 gross ton Banga Barta was built at German Flensburger shipyard in 1983. As of March 13, the ships AIS data shows it is located in Singapore Area and has restricted maneuverability.
