BBC Maple Lea Aground in Great Lakes Auerbach Bereederung Germany-flagged general cargo ship BBC Maple Lea has run aground in Lake Saint-Louis, Great Lakes, Quebec. The 2007-built ship, managed by German Auerbach Bereederung Hamburg, got grounded in the morning of December 17th, shortly after departing Montreal. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) is deploying a team of investigators to the grounding of the cargo ship BBC Maple Lea on Lake Saint-Louis, Quebec. The TSB will gather information and assess the occurrence, TSB said. Information on the potential damage of the vessel and the status of the crew are yet to be disclosed.
