Boskalis Completes Sale of Dockwise Yacht Transport Activities
Royal Boskalis Westminster N.V. (Boskalis) has successfully completed the sale of the activities of Dockwise Yacht Transport (DYT). These activities are to be transferred to Sevenstar Yacht Transport B.V. based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
With the acquisition of Dockwise in March 2013, Boskalis also acquired the activities of Dockwise Yacht Transport (DYT). DYTs core business is the transatlantic migration of luxury yachts between Florida, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.
For Boskalis, these activities have no strategic value and do not fit with the groups existing core business. Boskalis sold the DYT activities including 2 dedicated semi-submersible yacht transport vessels (Super Servant 4 and Yacht Express) for a total consideration of USD 40 million. This divestment will not have a material impact on Boskalis earnings.
