Bulk Carrier Runs Aground in Suez Canal

Shipspotting The 74,269 dwt bulk carrier MV Paraskevi ran aground in the Suez Canal after it experienced some issues while it was transiting through the Northbound convoy, according to data provided by Wilhelmsen Ships Service. At the moment Suez canal authority tugs are alongside the vessel, which was the last one in the Northbound convoy. There are no reports of impact on the Northbound and Southbound convoys following the grounding. The cause of the incident is under investigation. According to AIS data provided by MarineTraffic, the 2003-built ship, which was sailing from the Australian port of Hay Point when it ran into trouble in the waterway.
