Capital Fixes Improved Tanker Charters zoomAmore Mio II The Athens-based petroleum, dry cargo and containerised goods shipping company Capital Product Partners has secured new time charter employment for two of its tankers at improved daily rates, the company said in a release. The 2001-built, 159,982 dwt crude carrier Amore Mio II will continue its time charter employment with Capital Maritime & Trading Corp. (CMTC), for 12-14 months at a gross daily rate of USD 27,000. The vessel is currently employed under time charter to CMTC at a gross daily rate of USD 17,000 per day. The new charter is expected to commence in April 2015. The 2008-built, 149,993 dwt crude carrier Amoureux has secured a two-year employment with Stena Bulk AB at a gross daily rate of USD 29,000. The new charter is expected to commence in April 2015. The vessel is currently earning USD 24,000 gross per day under its current time charter employment with CMTC.
