Carnival Cruise Lines Newest Ship to Be Named Carnival Horizon

Carnival Cruise Line Miami-based cruise ship company Carnival Cruise Line, part of Carnival Corporation, has revealed the name of its new 133,500-ton ship, Carnival Horizon, which is scheduled for delivery in March 2018.  Currently under construction at Fincantieris shipyard in Marghera, Italy, Carnival Horizon will be the lines second Vista-class ship. The cruise ship will be able to accommodate up to 3,934 passengers. Homeport and itinerary details for Carnival Horizon would be announced at a later date, Carnival Cruise Line said. The first ship from this series, Carnival Vista, was delivered to the cruise line at a handover ceremony held on April 28, 2016. Being the lines largest ship, Carnival Vista is capable of carrying 6,400 people, including the staff.
