Celestyal Cruises, Thomson Cruises Extend Thomson Spirit Charter Thomson Cyprus-based cruise line Celestyal Cruises informed about a one-year extension of the Thomson Spirit charter to Britains Thomson Cruises of TUI Travel for the 2018 season. The 33,930 gross ton ship has been chartered to Thomson since May 2003. According to the terms of the charter, the cruise ship will operate as a Thomson Cruises vessel until October 2018, with all services provided by Celestyal Cruises through its wholly owned ship management subsidiary, Optimum Ship Management Services SA. “We’re pleased that the Spirit is so popular with passengers in the UK market. Thomson Cruises has been a trusted, valued partner for over 2 decades, and we look forward to extending our relationship further, Kyriakos Anastassiadis, Celestyal Cruises CEO, commented. Built at Chantiers de lAtlantique shipyard in France in 1983, Thomson Spirit features a length of 214.6 meters and a width of 27.3 meters. The Malta-flagged ship is part of Thomsons fleet of seven cruise vessels.
