China Starts First Maritime Silk Road Cruise

zoom Bei Bu Wan Zhi Xing, the first Chinese cruise liner to sail along the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, has started its maiden voyage from the Behai Port in Chinas Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Monday morning, ECNS reports. On its way to Malaysias Kuantan Port, the cruise ship will make stops in Vietnam and the Gulf of Thailand. Bei Bu Wan Zhi Xing is a 135-metre-long cruise ship capable of accommodating 400 people. Chinese President Xi Jingpin proposed the re-establishment of the Maritime Silk Road back in 2013, to reinforce the maritime links between China and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
