CMA CGM Enhances East Med-North Europe Service

CMA CGM French container shipping company CMA CGM plans to upgrade NC Levant, a service connecting the Eastern Mediterranean Sea and Northern Europe via Malta, Spain and Italy, starting from February 23, 2017. The enhanced service will be operated in partnership with two container shipping firms, Hamburg Süd and Seago, with one 6,500 TEU vessel and four 5,900 TEU boxships. The NC Levant service will now provide extended port coverage with a new export call in Tanger Med towards the Levant Sea and a new import call in Algeciras towards Northern Europe. The upgraded service will also cover the significant ports in the region, through our extensive feeder available in Malta, Beirut, Port Said and Algeciras, CMA CGM said. Port rotation of the NC Levant will be as follows: Felixstowe, Antwerp, Hamburg, Tangier Med, Marsaxlokk, Alexandria, Beirut, Iskenderun, Mersin, Port Said E, Salerno, Algeciras, Felixstowe.
