Court Throws Out Negligence Claim against Armada GC Rieber The Bergen district court has dismissed the negligence claim against GC Rieber Shipping ASAs subsidiary, Armada Seismic Invest II AS (Armada), the company said. The claim was filed in June 2012 by Arrow Seismic Invest II Limited, now PGS Geophysical (UK) Limited, seeking approximately EUR 9 million (USD 9.8 million) for alleged negligent behavior when the company took delivery of Hull 533, the Polar Duchess,  in October 2011. Under the court decision reached on Wednesday, March 2nd, the claim against Armada has been dismissed, and Armada has been awarded full legal fees in the amount of NOK 3.4 million. However, the decision may be appealed.
