Crewman Dies in Fall aboard Ship off Tynemouth Shipspotting A man died after falling from a great height aboard a vessel anchored near Tynemouth, UK, on October 20, according to Northumbria Police department. It would appear he has fallen from a height onto the deck of the ship and sustained fatal injuries, the police said. Following the incident, which occurred in the afternoon hours, the body of the Ukraine national was recovered and brought to North Shields today. The crewman was reportedly working aboard the 2009-built bulk carrier Brasschaat, which has been anchored in the North Sea since June. Police, coastguard, maritime authorities and shipping company representatives have launched an investigation to establish the events that led to the accident.
