d’Amico Adds Three Product Tankers d’Amico International Shipping Tanker shipping company d’Amico International Shipping has added a 39,000 dwt handysize vessel and two 50,000 dwt medium range ships, built at the Vietnamese shipyard Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard, to its fleet. The total investment for the three new eco-ships, namely Cielo di Salerno, High Wind and High Challenge, amounted to USD 104 million, according to the company. With the delivery of the handysize vessel Cielo di Salerno on October 21, the d’Amico International Shipping fleet includes 51.8 ships. The medium range ships, High Wind and High Challenge, are scheduled to join the companys fleet in the first half of November 2016 and the beginning of 2017, respectively. One of the tankers has already been chartered to an international oil major for three years, while the others will be placed on the spot market, d’Amico said. We have added three new assets of great value to our fleet, which is among the most innovative and updated on the international panorama, Paolo d’Amico, Chairman of d’Amico International Shipping, said. The construction of the three product tankers at the Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard in Vietnam, owned by Korean Group Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, was supervised by the Ship Management Department of the d’Amico Group through its subsidiary Ishima.
