Diana Shipping Agrees Higher Rate for Panamax
Diana Shipping Greek dry bulk ship owner Diana Shipping has secured a charter contract for one of its Ice Class Panamax dry bulk vessels, the m/v Crystalia, at a higher rate. Under an agreement, reached with Rotterdam-based Glencore Agriculture, the 77,525 dwt vessel will be chartered at a gross charter rate of USD 11,100 per day for a period of twelve to fifteen months. The charter is expected to commence on October 3. Diana Shipping said that the ships new charter contract is set to generate some USD 4 million of gross revenue for the minimum scheduled period of the time charter. The 2014-built Crystalia is currently working under a charter deal with Genevas SwissMarine Services. The ship was delivered to its previous charterer on June 28, when it started earning a gross charter rate of USD 6,250 per day.
