Dorian LPG Named Tanker Company of the Year

Liquefied petroleum gas shipping company Dorian LPG Ltd. has been selected as Tanker Company of the Year 2014 at the annual Lloyds List Greek Shipping Awards that took place in Athens on December 5, 2014. The award cited Dorians history, the companys IPO in May of 2014, its collaboration with Phoenix Tankers and strategic partnership with the HNA Group.   Mr. John Hadjipateras, Chairman of Dorian LPG, commented, The men and women of Dorian are stewards of a legacy which carries a heavy responsibility: to protect the sea and those who serve it. Our dedication to provide our customers with safe, efficient and trouble free transportation is the best means of creating value for our shareholders. The company currently owns and manages a fleet of five modern VLGCs, including two new fuel efficient ECO type VLGCs that it took delivery of during 2014 and one pressurized LPG carrier. Following the completion of its newbuilding program and delivery of an additional 17 new fuel efficient ECO design VLGCs expected between January 2015 and January 2016, the company will be one of the worlds largest owners of VLGCs.
