E A Gibson Goes Solo zoomNigel Richardson, managing director of EA Gibson. UK shipbroker E A Gibson has separated from its oil services parent company Hunting Plc, ending 121 years of a very unique relationship, the company said in a release. The shipbroker said that the time was right to change direction and take the company out of a stock listed framework of ownership and into employee ownership. The company has rejected the stock listed, and partnership and management buyout options as the way forward for Gibson, in favour of an employee ownership structure. Through its offices in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and Houston, Gibson focuses its activities on crude, clean and dirty products, veg oils, lubes, chemicals, LPG, LPG product broking, LNG, offshore, dry bulk, sale and purchase, period and projects and research and consultancy.
