FSG Nets LNG-Powered RoRo Ferry

SeaRoad’s decision to expand its current fleet capacity will provide greater certainty for Tasmanian businesses
and supports future economic growth in the state.
The new vessel, which will be purpose-built to service Bass Strait, will:
SeaRoad’s Chairman, Chas Kelly, said that the agreement with FSG “secures our commitment to Bass Strait and
keeping Tasmania connected. It is testament to the commitment of SeaRoad’s shareholders, management and
employees to the Tasmanian economy and will provide increased dedicated freight capacity to the Bass Strait
trade.”
The newbuilding will be 181 metres long, 26.6 metres wide and have more than 1960 lane metres available. Her speed will be 20.5 knots.
FSG will start construction of the vessel in September 2015 and delivery of the newbuild is planned for late 2016/early 2017.
