G E Shipping Adds Secondhand Aframax

zoomImage for illustrative purposes; Image Courtesy: G E Shipping India-based Great Eastern Shipping (G E Shipping) has taken delivery of Jag Laxmi, a secondhand Aframax crude carrier, from an undisclosed party.  The company said it had signed the contract to buy the 105,525 dwt ship in November 2016. The only tanker that fits the description is the Phoenix Concord, sold to the company in November 2016, VesselsValues data shows. G E Shipping signed contracts to buy two Aframax crude carriers from Greece-based Phoenix Energy Navigation in November. The ships, Phoenix Beacon and Phoenix Concord, were built by South Koreas shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in 2011 and 2012, respectively. Earlier this month, G E Shipping added the first Aframax crude carrier. Including Jag Laxmi, the company has a fleet of 41 vessels, comprising 26 tankers and 15 dry bulk carriers with an average age of 9.18 years and an aggregate tonnage of 3.23 million dwt. Additionally, G E Shipping plans to add three secondhand Suezmaxes.
