G E Shipping Adds Supramax Bulker
zoomIllustration; Image Courtesy: Kambara Kisen India-based shipping company Great Eastern Shipping (G E Shipping) has taken delivery of Jag Rohan, a secondhand Supramax dry bulk carrier, from Japans Kambara Kisen. G E Shipping inked a contract with Kambara Kisen to buy the 52,450 dwt vessel in March 2017. Jag Rohan, previously known as Tenshou Maru, was purchased for USD 9 million, VesselsValues data shows. Market value of the bulker, which was built at Tsuneishi Cebu shipyard in the Philippines in 2006, currently stands at USD 9.98 million, according to the information provided by VesselsValue. Following the sale, G E Shippings current fleet stands at 45 vessels, comprising 29 tankers and 16 dry bulkers with an average age of 9.52 years and an aggregate tonnage of 3.75 million dwt. The company has also signed a contract to acquire a secondhand medium range (MR) product tanker.
