Goldenport Takes Over Bulker Duo from Sentinel zoom Goldenport Holdings Inc, Athens-based owner and operator of a fleet of dry bulk and container vessels, has taken full ownership of two 2009-built bulkers. The acquisition comes in the wake of termination of a joint venture company established with Topley Corporation, the Sentinel Holdings Inc. (Sentinel). Goldenport and Topley, a subsidiary of Glencore International AG, agreed the termination of the Sentinel JV and the transfer of the 50% interest held by Topley to the company for a token consideration of USD 1. As a result of this agreement, the company is assuming 100% ownership of M/V Alpine Trader and M/V Ermis that have been owned by the JV since their construction in 2009, Goldenport said in a release on Friday. Goldenport has eight bulkers and six container ships in its fleet, according to the information available on the companys website.
