Guangzhou Hangton Chinas shipbuilder Guangzhou Hangtong Shipbuilding and Shipping Co is starting the new year with an order for two 78,000 dwt oil tankers. The shipyard did not disclose the owner of the ships nor the perspective delivery dates. The only detail disclosed apart from the fact that the order has been placed by a local shipowner is that the newbuilds will be used for transportation of asphalt and petroleum products. In addition, the first order for this year has been followed by the yards first ship delivery for this year, namely an oil supply ship. World Maritime News Staff
