Knightsbridge-Golden Ocean Merger Completed

zoom Dry bulk specialist Knightsbridge Shipping has completed its previously announced merger with Golden Ocean Group Limited. In connection with the closing of the merger, Knightsbridge will change its name to Golden Ocean Group Limited (GOGL). The merger between the two bulker operators was announced back in October last year. The combined company, with Knightsbridge as the surviving entity, will operate a fleet of 72 vessels, of which 34 are newbuildings under construction as of December 31, 2014. Trading in the shares of the combined company will commence on the Oslo Stock Exchange and on the Nasdaq Global Select Market on April 1, 2015.
