Maersk Boxship Grounded

zoom A Maersk Line containership ran aground on Tuesday morning near Vlissingen in the Netherlands. The Hong Kong-flagged MV Sea Land Meteor was pulled free a few hours later at high tide with the assistance of six tugs dispatched to the scene. There were no damages or pollution reported. The crew is said to be safe. The containership resumed its voyage and has reached Antwerp area, port of Berendrecht, where it is moored, according to Marine Traffic vessel tracking data. The ship is bound for Antwerp port. Its previous port call was made at Rotterdam. More images of the refloating operation can be found here.
