Man Falls off Royal Caribbeans Ship, Search Continues Royal Caribbean Search efforts continued today to locate a 46-year-old man who fell off the Royal Caribbean Cruises cruise ship Navigator of the Seas in the early hours of Saturday morning, according to the US Coast Guard. At the time of the incident the vessel was sailing some 36 nautical miles south of Carysfort Reef Light, off the coast of Key Largo, Florida. The man, identified as David Mossman from Texas, fell approximately 100 feet from the 10th deck of the cruise ship into the water, the authorities informed. After an urgent marine information broadcast was issued, the coast guard cutter Gannet was launched to begin searching for Mossman. A coast guard air station Miami MH-65 helicopter and a HC-144 aircraft joined the search efforts. Currently, coast guard search-and-rescue crews have covered an area of 1,676 square nautical miles. The authorities have not revealed the events which led to the incident.
