Mariveles Dry Bulk Terminal Taking Shape zoom Seasia Nectar Port Services Inc. (SNPSI), a joint venture between the UKs Nectar Group and Seasia Logistic Philippines, has started constructing Mariveles Dry Bulk Terminal in the Philippine province of Bataan. The new port has a total area of 11.4 hectares. SNPSI Chairman Ramon Atayde said that the port will engage in bulk terminal operations, specifically in the handling of containers, bulk liquid and dry cargoes, refrigerated warehousing facilities, stevedoring, lightering, towing and/or storing of cargo. Atayde added that SNPSI will employ only local residents for the construction and operation of the bulk terminal to contribute to the growth of the economy of Bataan. The presence of SNPSI would help in attracting more investors to locate at the Freeport Area of Bataan as costs of shipment would be reduced, the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan Chairman Deogracias Custodio said.
