Mednav Denies Broker Rumors on MR2 Order

Namely, brokers data indicates that Mednav has ordered two 45,000 dwt ships at CSSC OME shipyard in China. As disclosed, the company would pay USD 34 million for each of the two newbuildings slated for delivery in 2019. However, two Mednav representatives confirmed to World Maritime News in separate emails that this information is not correct. Currently, Mednavs fleet comprises 15 tankers built between 2000 and 2009, according to the companys website. World Maritime News Staff
