Mitsui Delivers Neo60BC Bulker to Arist Maritime

Japanese shipbuilder and ship designer Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding (MES) has completed and delivered a 60,000 dwt type bulk carrier, MV Indigo Breeze, at its Tamano Works to Panamas Arist Maritime S.A. Indigo Breeze is the 22nd ship in the companys “neo60BC” series to be delivered. The vessel is 200 metres long and 32.3 meters wide, equipped with four cranes and five cargo holds. The vessel is designed for loading various cargoes like coal, ore, grain, as well as lengthy/heavy cargo such as steel pipe and hot coil. Indigo Breeze’s main engine, MITSUI-MAN B&W Diesel Engine 6S50ME-B9.3, complies with MARPOL NOx restriction (Tier-II) for exhaust gas emissions. Considering strengthened restriction for SOx, the ship has low sulfur fuel oil tanks, which are designed for operation in ECA (Emission Control Areas), according to MES. The Marshall Islands-flagged bulker is classed by NK, and is designed in accordance with IACS Common Structural Rules.
