NAT Adds Suezmax Number 26

NAT Bermuda-based tanker owner Nordic American Tankers (NAT) has taken delivery of the Nordic Castor the second of four Suezmax vessels acquired in May this year.  NAT signed a deal with an undisclosed party to acquire the four 150,000 dwt tankers for a price of USD 106 million. The company said it expects the third vessel to be delivered within the end of June 2016 or in early July and the fourth vessel soon thereafter. NAT said it will immediately deploy the vessels in the tanker market. The four tankers were built at a Japanese shipyard between 2000 and 2004. Following the delivery of these four vessels, the companys fleet will consist of 30 Suezmaxes, including two newbuildings from Korea, scheduled for delivery in August 2016 and January 2017.
