Navios Acquisition Takes Delivery of VLCC Nave Galactic

The Nave Galactic was purchased for $51.5 million, as part of the three VLCCs acquired in November 2013.Navios Acquisition also reported that the Shinyo Navigator, a 300,549 dwt VLCC built in 1996, was sold for approximately $17.4 million. The Shinyo Navigator was part of the collateral package securing the 8.125% First Priority Ship Mortgage Notes due 2021. The vessel was released from the collateral package and the Nave Galactic was added as collateral.
Following the delivery of the Nave Galactic and the sale of the Shinyo Navigator, Navios Acquisition has 34 vessels in the water.
