New Portugal South Spain Liner Service Launched zoom Two short sea shipping operators, UK-based MacAndrews and German Oldenburg-Portugiesische Dampfschiffs-Rhederei (OPDR), have launched a new weekly liner service between North Europe and the Iberian Peninsula. With the introduction of the new winter schedule, the companies decided to set up the liner service called Portugal & South Spain service (POSS) which sails to the ports of Tilbury, Dunkirk, Rotterdam, Leixoes, Setubal, Lisbon, Algeciras and Cartagena on a weekly basis. Three short sea container vessels with a capacity of 700 TEU each, operated by OPDR, are deployed on the POSS service. The container slots on all vessels are equally divided between MacAndrews and OPDR. Both OPDR and MacAndrews are subsidiaries of the French CMA CGM Group.
