Nisshin Shipping Bids for Two Panamaxes

zoomImage Courtesy: Shipspotting Japanese shipping company Nisshin Shipping has decided to buy two Panamax bulk carriers from an undisclosed party, VesselsValues data shows.  Namely, the company took the two 82,000 dwt bulkers on subjects on February 15, 2017. The price offered for Bergen Trader 1 is USD 15.9 million and for Bergen Trader 2 USD 16.1 million, while the market value of the two ships stands at USD 16.76 million and USD 16.97 million, respectively. Bergen Trader 1 and Bergen Trader 2 were built at South Koreas Sungdong shipyard in 2012 and 2013. Each of the two 43,673 gross ton bulkers features a length of 229 meters and a width of 32.3 meters. Earlier this year, Nisshin Shipping sold two 2009-built Panamax bulk carriers. The first vessel, Epson Trader 1, was purchased by an unknown party from Greece and the second bulker, Epson Trader 2, was acquired by Chartworld Shipping, also from Greece. As of February 21, Nisshin Shipping has a fleet of 55 ships. In addition, the firm has 13 newbuildings on order, comprising 12 tankers and 1 bulk carrier, according to data provided by VesselsValue.
