Nordic Hamburg Sells Two Supramax Bulkers zoomIllustration; Image Courtesy: Nordic Hamburg Germany-based shipowner Nordic Hamburg Shipping has sold two of its Supramax bulk carriers to an undislosed buyer, according to data provided by VesselsValue. The ships in question are the Nordic Stade and Nordic Buxtehude, which were sold for a price of USD 7.8 million and USD 7.2 million, respectively. Both featuring 57,000 dwt, the 190-meter long and 32.3-meter wide bulkers were built by Chinas shipbuilder Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding. The 2011-built Nordic Stade has a market value of USD 10.6 million, while the 2010-built Nordic Buxtehude has a value of USD 9.8 million, VesselsValue data shows. Nordic Hamburg Shipping operates a fleet of 24 vessels, including 16 bulk carriers and 8 containerships. The company has eight newbuildings under construction, four of which are scheduled for delivery in 2016, while the remaining four will join the fleet in 2018. World Maritime News Staff
