Nordic Stani Refloats, Reaches Bremerhaven zoom A container ship flying the Cypriot flag ran aground on Saturday night while transiting Lower Elbe river from Hamburg to Bremerhaven. As reported by German newspapers Die Welt, there was no major damage to the ship, identified as Nordic Stani. The 2010-freighter ran aground having experienced engine troubles that rendered the ship impossible to navigate.  There were no injuries reported. The ship was pulled free with the assistance of two tugs and towed back to Hamburg for inspection. Since there were no leaks reported, the ship was cleared to resume its voyage on Sunday. Based on the latest vessel tracking data from Marine Traffic, the ship is moored off Bremerhaven. The vessel is managed and owned by Germany-based Nordic Hamburg Shipmanagement.
