OPDR Adds New PENN Service

OPDR Hamburg-based shipping company Oldenburg-Portugiesische Dampfschiffs-Rhederei (OPDR), part of CMA CGM, has launched a new weekly service connecting Continental Europe, the United Kingdom and Norway. The new PENN service links Rotterdam with the UK and three Norwegian ports, namely, the ports of Oslo, Moss and Brevik. According to the company, Hamburg will be added as an additional hub port at the beginning of November. OPDR has deployed two ice-strengthened 700 TEU vessels, which can carry 45ft pallet wide high cube reefer containers. Port rotation of the new PENN service will be as follows: Rotterdam (Netherlands), Immingham, Teesport, Grangemouth (UK), Rotterdam, Oslo, Moss, Brevik (Norway), Rotterdam.
